VERONA – A great autumn for Veronamarathon Events. The Veronamarathon Hub was inaugurated less than a month ago, a meeting and a reference point for all Verona’s runners. Now is time to announce a new and important partnership with an international brand.

Volkswagen – Veronamarathon is a partnership that gives way to a new era for Veronamarathon Events. A further piece of growth that confirms the organizational quality already certified by the Silver Label seal by Fidal and also witnessed by the many participants who’ve already placed Verona marathon in fifth Italian place among the  number of arrivals.

“I am pleased to announce- says Matteo Bortolaso, Vice President of Veronamarathon Eventi – the choice of Volkswagen to link this prestigious brand to a running event for the first time in Italy. Choosing Veronamarathon, testifies and confirms the work carried out in the last few years in close agreement with the municipal administration and with all the operational offices. A dutiful thank you also goes to all the volunteers of the territory and to the suppliers, to be considered partners of the project. Now the goal is to show that the choice of Volkswagen has been correct and that the relationship can be extended over the years. With this union we can say that some of the largest private companies in the Verona area are committed to supporting an initiative like Veronamarathon, which gives prestige to the city and has created an important widespread economic inducement for years “.

Champion of efficiency and autonomy management, key factors for zero emission for cars as for runners, at Veronamarathon there will be the Volkswagen e-Golf, the 100% electric version of the 100 kW (136 bhp) compact bestseller 300 km of autonomy (NEDC cycle). Confirming its commitment to a sustainable future, Volkswagen proposes Project Value Volkswagen Electric, an offer that provides a discount equal to the amount of VAT, then 22%, for the purchase of the e-up! and e-Golf. Another fundamental contribution in the direction of zero-emission mobility is the Electrify Verona initiative carried out by Volkswagen Group Italia together with the Municipality and AGSM: a real mobility system dedicated to the owners of electric cars that provides free access to the ZTL, free parking, electric columns for fast charging and free installation of a Wall Box for domestic recharging for residents in the town of Verona who will buy a fully electric car – not just Volkswagen – until December 2019.

Fabio Di Giuseppe, Marketing Director of Volkswagen Italia: “The partnership with Veronamarathon is very important for us, because it takes place right in the city hosting the Italian branch of Volkswagen and because the sports practiced, just like the race, are very similar to our Clients; women and men who, like us, love commitment, constancy, continuous improvement and the achievement of ambitious goals. The contact with nature and its protection, moreover, are topics that we care about a lot and which we answer with our e-ups! and e-Golf with zero emissions, with Electrify Verona and with the commitment to become a leader in electric mobility thanks to the ID range, coming in 2020 “.
